The most recognizable feature of Jack robots, however, is the distinctive head and face, complete with trademark Mohawk hairstyle, shared by all models of Jack robots. This is especially apparent in the Jack-7 model, where a green glow radiates from the joins in his skin. While earlier models looked relatively human, the later models have sectionalized skin, making them appear less human. The Jack robots, throughout their many incarnations, have maintained the same general appearance - humanoid juggernauts with bulging muscles. While he is programmed to understand longer words like "biologicals" (his name for humans), he generally has a very child-like way of thinking and speaking, failing to understand a lot of what the other fighters are saying to him, and labeling anything unknown or unfamiliar as "bad". Jack-6's personality is explored when playing as him in the Scenario Campaign in Tekken 6, where he is vocal of his love of fighting, strong opponents, and fellow robots. They also seem to possess the capacity to be very protective of those with whom they share a close bond, even going so far as to sacrifice themselves, as demonstrated by Gun Jack in his Tekken 3 storyline. However, at least one Jack robots was able to show empathy and compassion, as demonstrated by Jack-2's reaction to finding Jane. Having been built as a destructive killing machine, Jack robots are generally very aggressive and do not hesitate to destroy everything in sight. Jack-7 was entered into The King of Iron Fist Tournament 7 in an attempt to prove its superiority to G Corp’s other humanoid weapon, Gigas. Ī power struggle emerged in G Corporation relating to the creation of the ultimate next-gen humanoid weapon. She sent Jack-6, G Corp’s most sophisticated model, to investigate the truth behind the rumors. Jane heard that the Mishima Zaibatsu were manufacturing a copy of the Jack unit and was furious. Jane used the data to craft more sophisticated combat algorithms for him.Īs the world became engulfed in war and G Corporation entered combat with the Mishima Zaibatsu, Jack units were mass produced and sent to fight. When he had finished collecting fight data from the tournament, he returned to the G Corp laboratories. She entered Jack-5 into The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Using data collected from Jack-4 models, Jane began working on a new model, Jack-5. Jack-4 models were mass produced and were used by G Corp in an (unsuccessful) attempt to assassinate Kazuya, who was beginning to cause issues for them. She joined their robotics division and successfully created a new model, Jack-4. Jane was found and rescued by G Corporation the next day. Gun Jack shielded Jane, but was non-functional by the time the gunfire ceased due to extensive damage. Her infiltration of Mishima Industries was unsuccessful she and Gun Jack were discovered by Tekken Force and fired upon. She installed the program in Jack-2 and tried to sneak into the Mishima Zaibatsu with the newly dubbed Gun Jack to discover more about the mysterious program. She also discovered a hidden program called Project Gun Jack. Jane discovered that the Mishima Zaibatsu’s Mishima Industries subsidiary was responsible for most of Jack-2’s programming. She got him back to 90% functionality, but Jack-2 seemed to have lost the AI functionality that gave it emotional capabilities. When she reached her late teens, she dedicated 10 years to restoring Jack-2. Jane, who was present for Jack-2’s destruction, was haunted by his fate. Unfortunately, Jack-2 was destroyed by a satellite weapon before he could complete his mission. Meanwhile, Jack-2 entered The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 to free Doctor Bosconovitch, his creator, from the Mishima Zaibatsu so that the scientist could make him human. The Russian military kept Jack-2’s desertion from the public and scrambled to find him. He fled from the conflict, taking the girl, Jane, with him. On a germ warfare mission, Jack-2 abandoned its objective when it came across a young infected girl (whom his system should have identified as an enemy insurgent). He was subsequently upgraded with improved AI circuitry and renamed Jack-2. The original Jack did not complete his mission to kill Kazuya. The Russian military learned of Kazuya Mishima’s plans for a world coup d’etat and dispatched Jack to the tournament to eliminate him. The first Jack model robot was developed in the former Soviet Union by Doctor Bosconovitch and was designed to be a ruthless killing machine.
